2016 Met Gala: Best Dressed List

THE MOST AMAZING NIGHT OF FASHION WAS LAST NIGHT.  I’m a little excited, can you tell?  There were some incredible looks at this years annual Met Gala, and some super out there ones.  Most celebrities really embraced this years theme Manus x Machina, the new exhibit opening on the 5th at the Met.  It was super awesome and definitely fit.  However, there were also some gowns that weren’t full-out Machina-esque but still killed the game.  BIG TIME.  Here’s my top choices from last night:

Claire Danes in Zac Posen

I literally almost cried looking at this beauty.  I’m pretty sure it broke the internet.  It’s super high-tech but she still looks like she just walked out of a fairytale…which is why I’m currently obsessed with it.  Mr. Posen, if you’re reading this: please make my future wedding dress like this.

Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen

AKA MOON GODDESS.  I really don’t have a whole lot to say other than this dress is everything I wish to achieve in life.  I know this doesn’t make sense to you, but oh man….my soul fluttered when I saw this beauty.

Sienna Miller in Gucci

met gala

Honestly, she can do no wrong in my eyes.  She is a permanent fashion favorite of mine and I think she looked simply stunning.

Lupita Nyongo in Calvin Klein

lupita

Okay…first off, I’m not sure what is going on with her hair….but I don’t hate it.  I have mixed feelings for sure, but a part of me is like, “Well, I could never pull that off and she had the courage to, so go Lupita!”  But really, I think I may love it….and this jade Calvin Klein is insanely gorgeous on her.

Kate Bosworth in Dolce & Gabbana

met gala

I’m pretty sure Kate Bosworth flew in to NYC from some far off land to impart peace on the planet Earth.  She.  Is.  Everything.  This whole combo is so perfect and fun and elegant and everything a Met Gala look should be.

Blake Lively in Christopher Bailey

met gala

I think we’ve all succumbed to the fact that Blake Lively is a goddess and she can do no wrong.  This gown is so delicate and beautiful.  It’s amazing.

Honorable Mention:

Emma Stone in Prada

Emma

She basically looks like a modern-day Xena Warrior Princess and honestly, it’s badass.
