This look is perfect if you have a regular day job, or if you’re having a bad hair day and need a hairstyle that will still compliment you!

Step 1: Straighten your hair, if it’s not already! Make sure to use a heat protectant spray on your hair before you use any sort of hot tool!

Step 2: Give your hair some volume! I like to rat the top layer of my hair from the scalp down. After you’ve successfully ratted the top of your hair, brush the top of that hair back. You can brush it down to the height that you’re comfortable with. Make sure to use your boar bristle brush to rat the hair!

Step 3: Side swipe your bangs (or your longest layer) to either side and pin them. Make sure your part is either fully on the right or the left.

Step 4: Time to put your hair in a ponytail! Gently pull your hair back and wrap it up in your hair tie. Make sure to keep it low! That’s the key to this look! Low ponytail is the way to go! There’s a fine balance between a loose ponytail and a tight ponytail. Make sure this one is slightly loose, but still put together.

Step 5: Make sure that your side bangs are perfectly swept across your face. If your bangs were too short to put in your hair tie, you can easily pin them back with some bobby pins. Just make sure that the pins are hidden by other hair strands!

Step 6: Hairspray it down!

Step 7 (optional): If you don’t like your hair tie showing in the back, simply take a small sections of the hair in your ponytail, wrap it around the hair tie, and bobby pin the ends!

And that’s how to accomplish a sophisticated ponytail!!!

Stay beautiful!!!
