Book of The Month Club

I’m an avid reader.  Always have been, always will be.  I’d say on average I read 2-3 books a month.  Reading is one of my favorite parts of the day!  I’ve spent way too much money on books over the years…I mean, I could probably buy a boat with all the money I’ve spent on my beloved reading material.  Well, I have no idea how I found this just now, but I found this epic site called Book of The Month.

I have always had my own system with books….I stock pile, then number with post-it’s which ones I want to read first, and then go through them.  As soon as I’m done, I  stock pile again!  My only problem is, I shop mostly at used book stores, so I’m not always on the up and up with new books.  Unless it’s something like “Not That Kind of Girl” by Lena Dunham, or “Yes Please” by Amy Poehler.  So when I found this site…literally like 10 minutes ago, I thought what the heck, I’ll give it a try!  Each month there is a selection of five brand new books.  You go into your account, select the book that sounds the most interesting to you, and then it’s sent straight to your door!!  (it’s kind of how Rocksbox is with jewelry.)

They even have guest judges every month!  This month was the awesome Craig Ferguson!  Although, I didn’t choose his book, sorry Craig…still love ya!  (As you can see above, I chose “All Things Cease To Appear”)

I’m so excited about this new service I found and I felt that I just had to share it with you all!  Books are such an important part of life.  They help you grow as a person, and you never know what you’ll discover about yourself while reading a certain book.  For instance, when I was in 4th grade, I discovered that I couldn’t read “Old Yeller” without crying 10 pages in because I knew that he was going to die.  But really, books are such an amazing way to learn about the world and about yourself and even reading 1 book a month does so much good for your mind and soul!

Sign up for Book of The Month by clicking here…I used the code BOOK10 at checkout as well and got $10.00 off!! (yeah, saving money!)  You can even gift the service to someone who you think needs to read a little more!

Leave a comment below and tell me:  Have you ever used a book service like this one?!  And don’t forget to subscribe!
