I went to a local celebration two nights ago in Los Angeles and had so much fun!

So what is The Chinese New Year?  Well, legend has it, that Buddha asked all the animals to come meet him on Chinese New Year.  For the animals that showed up (12 in all), they each got their own year named after them!  He then said that whatever animal year a person was born in, they would have similar character traits to that animal!

In China, they celebrate the New Year with their legendary Lantern Festival.  The festival takes place on the 15th day of the first lunar month!  Here’s what a traditional Lantern Festival looks like in China:

I can’t wait to go to China one year and experience that beauty!!
